### Recipe for Apple Bread

What better way to embrace fall than by baking a classic apple bread? Here's a simple recipe:

**Ingredients:**

Bread:

- 2 cups sugar

- 3 cups all-purpose flour

- 3 cups of tart apples, peeled and chopped (I like to use Honey Crisp since they are in season)

- 1 tsp baking soda

- 2 tsp ground cinnamon

- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil

- 2 large eggs

- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Glaze:

- 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted after measuring is recommended)

- 2-4 tbsp milk

- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

**Instructions:**

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2. Combine the sugar, flour, apples, baking soda, cinnamon, nuts, and salt in a large mixing bowl and mix well.

3.  Add the oil, eggs, and vanilla and stir to mix.

4.  Spoon the mixture into a 9-inch tube pan, or divide it into two equal portions and spoon them into two 9x5x3-inch loaf pans.

5.  Bake for one hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

6.  Remove the cakes from the oven and cool on a wire rack.  Slide a thin knife around the edges of the cake and remove the cake from the pan.  Let the cake cool completely before glazing or wrapping.

7.  For glaze, combine powdered sugar and 2 tbsp of milk and whisk together.

8.  Add additional milk, a splash at a time, until the glaze is smooth and falls into a smooth ribbon from the whisk.  It should hold its shape for several seconds.

9.  Whisk in vanilla extract.

10.  Drizzle over bread and let dry.

As you enjoy this delicious treat, remember that fall is not just about savoring seasonal flavors but also about making smart real estate decisions that align with your lifestyle goals. Happy autumn!
